Hi, My Name is Tina Slamka, I am the Owner/Operator of InnerGait
My journey into healing work began with a horse named Jigger when I was eight years old. New house, new school, and a lot of change—I was looking for something but didn’t know what. What I found was a chestnut gelding who saw straight through me. That moment sparked a lifelong relationship with horses and, eventually, a deep calling to help others reconnect with themselves through that same powerful bond.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and I am currently completing my Master of Counselling degree, with expected graduation in December 2026. I’m also a dual certification candidate with Pro-EFW (Equine-Facilitated Wellness Canada), specializing in both Equine-Assisted Learning and Equine-Facilitated Psychotherapy.
With over 45 years of experience with horses and 20 years as an Equine Canada Certified Riding Instructor, I bring together my lifelong equine knowledge with a strong foundation in trauma-informed, relational, and experiential practice. My focus is on creating emotionally safe, empowering spaces where youth, women, and families can explore healing, growth, and connection—on their terms, and at their pace.
At InnerGait, I blend psychology, partnership, and horse sense into something deeply transformative. Healing begins the moment we stop performing—and start walking beside something that sees us as we are.
